Change the Date

Virus COVID-19 has been on a streak of ruining plans since the beginning of March which by far has been the longest month this year.

When Beth and Jacob called me, I already knew. The disappointment in her voice was evident, and it followed suit with the rest of my spring weddings. Each of them falling over like dominoes. They planned to reschedule their wedding in May to a safer date in November. Although they were heartbroken I believe they made the best decision for themselves and their families, and I am sure it was not easy.

The small silver lining out of this, however, was that Beth and Jacob had not taken engagement photos yet. This photo session became a “change the date” photo session rather than a “save the date.” These two were such a joy to work with. The love they had for each other shone all over their faces.

We hit a few setbacks (that day we discovered our session location ha burned down) and that the county we lived in would be going on space and shelter quarantine at nightfall. We changed the location to an open field last minute, and from 6 feet away, I captured the love between these two before the sunset.
