Craggy Gardens • Adventure Engagement Session
Adventure Engagement Photographer • Craggy Gardens
Despite the impending forecast, this couple adventured to the blue ridge mountains with me. I made the scenic drive from the Charlotte area up the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Craggy Gardens Trail was misty and moody and had an imminent chance of rain. Although we didn't get panoramic mountain views at the top, the session's mysterious fog perfectly fit the couple.
The low lying clouds rolling off the mountain as we came down the parkway made me stop and jump out of my car. We pulled over on an overlook and took some photos of the mountains. It was spectacular. In that same fashion, we stopped by a tunned and got some dark and emotive images there.
I am proud of the moments spontaneously stopped in the road as we traveled down the mountain, the moments that were carefree and fun for them and me. This session was brimming with the adventure emotion and movement that I always want to capture for my clients. Afterward, they invited me to for some Mexican post hiking grub. This made the day even better. I love to connect with my clients on a more casual one-on-one setting, so it feels more like a friendship than a business transaction. Plus, I can never turn down a good veggie burrito. Ellie and Jacob are two electric people, and I am so lucky to have shared these moments (and queso) with them.
