Courthouse Elopement • Charlotte, NC

Tommy and Jamie reached out to me a month ago about possibly photographing their elopement in Charlotte NC. I was so over the moon because there is a special place in my heart for elopement sessions. Jamie proved that you don’t need tradition or a white dress to get hitched just her dream guys hand in hers and a promise of forever. That is what I love so much about elopements, it’s just two people in love who have decided they weren’t into the show of it all.

We met up at 4:30 on a Friday. I was driving into the city as everyone else was leaving it. Surprisingly it was warm to be the first week in March, and the sun finally came out after what feels like months of hiding. I was so excited to meet Tommy and Jamie at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse to photograph their elopement.

There are some couples (like Tommy and Jamie) that are magnetic. Their chemistry, passion, and heartfelt emotion came through every frame. They were so clearly head over heels in love for each other, that it kinda made me sick… but in a good way. They rocked their photo session and had a big surprise for everyone in the form of 10 little toes. Some might call this a shotgun wedding. However, it's 2020 now. These two are getting into the whole marriage thing for more than just the bundle of joy they made. Working with them was a dream, and luck for me, I have their maternity session to look forward to in May!
